A Holiday Postcard for All Soonish Listeners and Supporters

So we've almost made it. 2020 is about to take its leave. It was a year that taught us so much about ourselves and the communities we live in—not all of it comfortable. For most of us there were the regular rigors of life, punctuated by a few personal accomplishments (in my case, a book published, a new podcast launched, a best-of 2020 recognition for Soonish). But it all took a back seat to the collective experience of participating in an election that tested democracy while enduring, trying to understand, and beginning to beat back the worst pandemic in a century. 

It's been a year of trepidation and celebration, of loneliness and new togetherness. Throughout, creating audio stories has been my small way of trying to make sense of it all. Thanks for coming along with me. And please keep listening for all the stories still to come in the new future we'll start building in 2021.
